Please sponsor Team QE2!
On Saturday May 7th 2016 a team from QE2 Activity Centre will be taking part in Gung Ho!, a seriously fun 5k race taking place on Southampton Common.
Adam, Lenita, Dan, Nick, Kevin, Craig, Thomas and Amy from the GreenHouse day service together with Centre staff Kerry and Phil plus Andy and Beccy will be raising funds for the neonatal unit at Princess Anne Hospital, Southampton. Our target is £3,000 for a digital monitor. You can donate here: DONATE HERE!
When our granddaughter was born 15 weeks early, at only 25 weeks gestation, we feared the worst. At only 1lb 13oz, her lungs were too small and undeveloped and she needed a ventilator to breathe. She went through every respiratory aid Southampton's Princess Anne hospital neonatal unit had. Since coming off the ventilator at Christmas she has had a heart op and eye surgery to counteract the effects of the oxygen on her tiny body.
Our granddaughter is home now, weighing over 10lb and doing brilliantly. Without the neonatal unit at Princess Anne Hospital, Southampton with their dedicated nurses & doctors and all the specialist equipment involved in her stay this would not have happened.
We'd like to help Princess Anne NNU by raising funds for new equipment through the Ickle Pickles charity. Team QE2 are going to run 5k, climb over ridiculous obstacles and try and raise £3,000. Can you help us reach our target?
