As well as the activities available on the activity days there will also be bushcraft, a canoe/kayak expedition and even an overnight camp, in tents or under the stars!  These short breaks are an opportunity for the whole family to take part in activities together.

Here’s a few comments from families who have stayed before for QE2 Short Breaks:
. . .  a phenomenal weekend, the kids loved every minute . . .  can you pass my thanks to the instructors who were without exception brilliantly patient and understanding with our son  (and the rest of us).  Every session was relaxed, great fun and really well run.  The kids, who were a bit nervy about some things were gently encouraged to do things they thought they never could do.

The best thing for us was to be able to do something as a group without having to keep explaining our son’s behaviour to bemused bystanders.
The staff and activities were fantastic.

The activities were brilliant fun, well facilitated, range of activities to suit all.  Staff always very helpful.
Really lovely place and staff.  Had a great two days.

All the instructors are great fun, really join in and have such a can-do approach.  We had such fun and the children can’t wait to go back again.
Excellent service received and the whole party had an amazing time.

The staff are amazing, very patient, understanding and they make the activities FUN! It’s great that my 4 year old could join in exactly the same as everyone else.
Brilliant for families to be able to mix together, to all be understood and accepted and to share fun times.  Thank you all J.

Boys loved it. Sleeping in hammocks was a fantastic experience. Staff couldn’t have been more helpful.  It was excellent.
Everyone had a fantastic time, we did lots of things we had never done before and we loved all of them.  The staff were brilliant, their cheerfulness and enthusiasm really rubbed off on everyone and encouraged the kids to do things I was not sure they would go for, let alone enjoy so much.  Thanks for a great weekend.

Support the QE2 Activity Centre

We have had a couple of generous donations over the past week, one from a local group, another from a nationwide company.  The first came from Fareham Wednesday Club, old friends of the Centre, who have made similar generous donations in the past.  The other came from the ScrewFix Foundation.  These will help to improve the service we offer to people with disabilites who use the QE2 Activity Centre.   Thanks a lot you guys!

QE2 Activity Centre is very proud of its position as part of the local community. We provide a service to our community and we are generously supported by our community.  You can help to support the Centre this Spring by coming along to one of our events.

On Friday March 21st it's Elvis Night while on Saturday 29th March we're holding our first ever Comedy Club night, organised by RSW Sound.

If you've been to one of our Elvis tribute evenings before you won't want to miss this.  Singer Dale Fontaine (aka Dave the Plumber from the 1990s tv series The Village) will be returning to QE2 Activity Centre once again to entertain everyone.  Be there!

As for Comedy Night , this is being organised by some more friends of the Centre: Rob Wedge, Phil Dickinson and our very own Graham Marks.  Here's a message from compere Phil Dickinson.

The moment you've all been waiting for! We can now reveal, in no particular order, four of the brilliant comedians who will be appearing on 29th March for your entertainment!

Ben Shannon, who organises and hosts the ‘12 Step Comedy' circuit and has performed at Edinburgh Festival Fringe in 2013 in 'Three Men and a Saucepan'.

Mike Reed, a brilliant Welsh comedian known at Short Circuit Comedy, 12 Step Comedy, and for appearing at the Nottingham Comedy Festival.

Graeme Collard, finalist for the Comedy Virgins Max Turner Prize 2014, held at the
Cavendish Arms in London

Tony Harries, a musical comedian who’s performed at LMAO Comedy, Redneck Comedy and WCB Comedy.
